Yes! Yes! Yes!
In the early phase of recovering from adrenal fatigue, I did a lot of feeling sorry for myself. I also would say out loud several times a day how tired I was or how miserable I felt etc. I sulked and would say to my husband, why me?!
Then I started learning more and more about the battlefield of the mind and how I was prophesying my ill-health instead of my recovery and future robust health. The devil had me right where he wanted me. Down in the dumps, miserable and defeated.
I made a commitment to turn it around. Instead of being negative, I rephrased my self-talk into positive proclamations. For example, even if I felt crappy, I would say, “tomorrow is going to be a good day” or “I will feel better after a nap”.
I also never called the adrenal fatigue “mine”. I am very cognizant of this, even to this day. In writing about it on my blog or talking about it in an interview, I never say “my adrenal fatigue”. I don't own it nor does it own me.
If your health is being challenged, I encourage you to examine your mindset and attitude.
We do have power over our thoughts and attitudes and they do impact our health outcomes!
