The little girl on the far left, well, that's me. As if you couldn't tell. I used to be a dancer. No really. I danced at one of the well-known dance studios in Minnesota from the time I was a toddler until I graduated from high school. Tap. Jazz. Ballet. I wasn't “that” good, but my mom used to tell me I was more “naturally” talented than my sister. I don't dance anymore, but I can still do the times step.
Tom was a ski jumper. I don't know the specifics, but he probably started ski jumping at the same age I started dancing. He was good, so I am told. He even moved away from home during his high school years to train at the Olympic training center in Marquette, MI. He doesn't jump anymore, but dreams about it regularly. I think he misses the thrill factor. He keeps talking about wanting to go skydiving. Any takers?
So, what does a ballerina and a ski jumper have in common?
Well, besides the fact we wear matching Gunnar glasses (pictured below) when working on our computers after dusk, we've been happily married for over a decade, we share faith in an awesome God and we are both passionate about nutrition, fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.
