Chef’s Tip: This is one of my all-time favorite dishes. It is incredibly simple, but the flavors are unbelievable. In my country, cinnamon is essentially the national spice and is in many savory dishes that we regularly eat.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Beef Stew Meat
- 1 Tbsp. Butter or Ghee
- 1 Onion, Diced
- Sea Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 1 Tbsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 3 - 4 c. Beef Bone Broth
Directions
- In a stock pot, melt the butter or ghee over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the stew meat and sauté for a few minutes on each side.
- Add the sea salt, pepper and cinnamon and cook for a few more minutes.
- Add the cinnamon sticks and cover with bone broth.
- Simmer the meat covered, for 45 minutes, or until meat is very tender.
- Adjust seasonings to taste.
- Serve with your favorite vegetable or mashed cauliflower as pictured.
