It was a spur of the moment, impulsive decision, but as we were running around this weekend, we decided to buy some tequila
Being the tequila buying novices we are, we saw a pretty box, did a quick google search, saw it was a good price and a decent review and it was ours
Another quick google search for a sugar-free, low-carb margarita recipe and we were set (after a quick stop at the grocery store for a few ingredients)!
Sugar-Free, Low-Carb Margarita for One
- 1.5 oz. Tequila
- 6-8 oz. Club Soda
- Juice from 1 Lime (1 oz.)
- 1/4 tsp. Orange Extract or 2 drops Orange Essential Oil
- Liquid Stevia (to taste)
- Salt for the Rim
In a glass start with about 6 oz. Club Soda, to that add your sweetener and stir, add juice (and pulp if you like) of 1 lime, extract and tequila. Stir. Add ice and top with more club soda.
Give or take a few…..this is 105 calories, 0g fat, 3g carbs, 0g protein, 14g alcohol

A Margarita made with Margaritaville Margarita Mix (second ingredient on the label is high fructose corn syrup) and 1.5 oz. Tequila…..210 calories, 0g fat, 27g carbs (26g sugar), 0g protein, 14g alcohol.
